Fiber Optic Grass Live Wire
Product Description

A fun little plant that also happens to be a year-round bloomer indoors. Just 6 to 8 inches high, this grass sets long, slender green stems, at the very end of which is a tiny, round silver bloom. They really do look like fiber optic strands, especially when the occasional stem bends or twists across the others, like a tangle of cables! The little blooms arise year-round indoors, adding bright spots of color that stand out especially in late afternoon and early evening, when brighter colors fade. Live Wire is a Sedge, reaching 20 inches across in sun or part shade (or bright light indoors). Its stems grow up and out in a fountainous mass from the center, offering nice textural contrast to neighboring plants. Children are fascinated by its unusual shape, and it puts up with a lot of stress, from heat and humidity to poor soil and remains lovely for years when grown as a houseplant.
