Sagina

This mosslike, evergreen perennial boasts lush emerald-green foliage that forms a compact 1-inch-tall, 3-inch-wide mat. Excellent for planting in small containers in a sunny or shady location or once developed can be transplanted as a filler around a potted tree or larger plant. During early to midsummer, it is covered with small white flowers. Adaptable to sun or shade, it needs plenty of moisture.
